Hüseyin Nuri Çomu
Honorary Chairman of Sunar Group
He was born in Darende in 1965. Honorary Chairman of Sunar Group, Hüseyin Nuri Çomu completed his high bachelor degree in Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration at Bogazici University. After completing his education he returned to Adana, Çomu has successfully continued his studies in industry, commerce and farming, led by his father’s grandfather and led by his father, for over 30 years.
Despite of intense work schedule, he served as manager positions for Türkiye’s leading NGO’s like MÜSİAD (Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association), BYSD (Vegetable Oil Industry Association), YABİTED (Vegetable Oil Science and Technology Association), AKİB (Mediterranean Exporters’ Association), OAİB (Central Anatolian Exporters Association), ENVER (Energy Efficiency Association), NÜD (Starch and Glucose Manufacturers’ Association).
He also served as Council President of ADASO (Adana Chamber of Industry) between 2013-2016.
He is currently serving as the Chairman of GÜNYAĞDER (The Southern and Southeastern Anatolian Vegetable Oil Manufacturers’ Association) and as the Chairman of Adana branch of the İYC (Science Spread Society).
Mr. Çomu has advanced level of English, he is married and have three children.
Mustafa Nuri Çomu
Chairman of Sunar Group
Mustafa Nuri Çomu, one of the third-generation representatives of the Sunar Group of Companies, was born in 1995 in Istanbul. Çomu, who completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Bogazici University, gained experience in the sector with his education in international organizations such as Chicago CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) and Commodity Stock Exchanges during his education at Harward University. After serving as brand management, information systems, supply chain, corporate management and management project consultant in international companies, Çomu started to work as Strategy and Business Development Director and Board Member in Sunar Group of Companies in 2019 and has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board in 2020 for the Group of Companies.
In addition to being on the Nuri Çomu Foundation Board of Trustees, he is a member of the Young MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association), BUMED (Bogaziçi University Alumni Association), GÜNYAGDER (The Southern and Southeastern Anatolian Vegetable Oil Manufacturers’ Association), PAGDER (Plastic Industrialists Association), PAGEV (Turkish Plastic Industrialists Research, Development and Education Foundation) and IYC (Science Spread Society); actively takes part in social life with hobbies and activities such as piano, tennis, snowboard and winter sports.
Mustafa Nuri Çomu has advanced level of English, he is married and have two child.
Mustafa TOPAL
Sunar Un ve Yem General Manager
He was born in Tarsus at 1974. He completed his bachelor degree in department of food engineering at Ege University. He started his work life in 1999 and started to work as Production Manager from Sunar Un ve Yem, that was in the company of Sunar Group since 2003, after having a managerial experience in various companies. After serving for about 10 years, he was appointed General Manager in 2014 and still holds this position.
The important non-governmental organizations of the sector are; Çukurova Association of Industrialists, Türkiye’s Feed Industry Association in NGOs, such as the Mediterranean Exporters Union and company representatives, and serves as a Council Member in Osmaniye Commodity Exchange.
Mr. Topal is married and he has two children.
